From all of the people who come to me, each of them say the same thing, "I love that you are a doctor of physical therapy and personal trainer AND a powerlifter, and a former collegiate athlete." They have chosen to come to me because I understand treating pain, but I also understand training and working out. I've been an athlete my entire life, starting with T-Ball when I was four years old to playing baseball and football in college to now competing in powerlifting competitions. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page you'll see a rather flattering picture of me in my natural habitat and in a singlet (or unitard depending on who you ask) lifting 617 lbs. I'm not messing around, I will help you address your pain concerns and get strong.

Yes, that's quite the list of "stuff!" The reality is, most of these conditions can be treated incredibly effectively with our brand of rehab and strength training.

A few more details about me; I compete in powerlifting, played football and baseball in college, successfully completed one mountaineering trip (barely), Shoe Dog by Phil Knight (a memoir about Nike) is my all time favorite book and captures my own ethos, and few things get me as excited as presenting to groups of people eager to learn about the science of pain. I've lived all over the country, completing my B.Sc degree of Exercise Science in Arkansas at Harding University and my Doctor of Physical Therapy education at Columbia University in New York City.
